Welcome to your 6,000-elevation oasis! Here in the Painted Desert, in the town of Navajo, Arizona. We welcome all who wants some peace in their life. One of our greatest assets to you, is the available hiking. You will have access to 1000s of acres to roam and ideally rediscover who you are. Roaming around, you will find burrowing owls. Often the ground holes these owls occupy, are often shared by different animal species, at different times of the year. It’s quite the nature show here! The number of bird species available to observe is plenty. You’ll notice, ravens, hawks, finches, desert crows, and many more. Nothing beats a Sunday morning, waking up to birds serenading you gently out of your sleep. Not only are small creatures here to bring some wholesome comfort to your experience, you will at times be graced by the presence of dozens of friendly cattle. We also are incredibly lucky to be nestled in the crossing path of wild Navajo horses. They are majestic and beautiful. Please only enjoy from afar.

In addition to the crystals bubbling out of the ground throughout this valley and the 225,000,000-year-old fossilized wood that you will find in random places, you will sometimes come across Native American artifacts. Please do not disturb them, for It is taboo to do so. We are located about 1/2 mile away from the southern edge of the Navajo Nation. And surrounded by the Nation to the south as well, due to checkerboard boundary patterns. We ask when you visit these sacred lands, that you leave artifacts in place. Whether it be arrowheads or broken pottery pieces. In some instances, it’s suggested for your own health and safety not to disturb these precious artifacts. They thank you.

We’re looking forward to you and yours coming out. Their’s something here for everyone to enjoy. Even ATVs are welcome. Plenty of space to ride.
